The best history of superheroes in recent years returns to prime video with its third season

There will be those who prefer, of course, the two great, Marvel and DC. There will be those who are more decided by bilious versions of the superhero cosmos, such as the sensational ‘The Boysand his Spin-off ‘GEN-V‘, although here we prefer to see this successful Amazon series as a satire that uses superheroes as a backdrop, rather than as a purely superhero story. But The truth is that superheroes do not end up exhausting: In fact, DC has recently returned with the hilarious’Monster command‘, spiritual sequel to also magnifgic ‘The Pacifier’. Perhaps this last series by James Gunn is the only one capable of shadowing ‘Invincible‘, which now premieres its third season In Prime Video: genuinely superheroic, but with absolutely adult content regarding the conflicts that the violence it shows, it has become an impressive appointment for gender fans. From the aesthetics to the background, all ‘invincible’ is both a love letter to superheroes and a question of their main topics. The series continues at the point where the previous season stayed: we meet Mark’s father, Omni-Man, who is apparently repentant of what happened in the past, and Mark will test its almost omnipotence to the limit. All among absolutely devastating action pan: this is one of the most frantic and violent seasons of the series. Meanwhile, Mark will ask what exactly distinguishes a hero from a villain and will undertake a search for his own identity that will have such fun moments as the adoption of a new suit and as emotional as the protection and education of his brother. That baby of the second season? He has become a teenager who does not know prudence, but devastating super powers. The map that teaches us how the land will be within 250 million years

The present has accelerated so much that it gives the feeling that nothing that has no rhythm of ‘thriller’ has no interest. I do what I can to resist, but the truth is that the old movies seem very slow, the classic novels a stomach loss of time and even fast food seems made with a tempo capable of sleeping the sheep. Luckily, We have plaque tectonics. Yes, that at first glance it is not exciting, but no branch of knowledge can make such huge changes with such small and imperceptible things. No branch of knowledge helps us understand how insignificant we are with just a walk through the mountain. A long time ago, in a very, very … close galaxy. Specifically, it was one thousand eight hundred million years ago when Nuna He gathered in a single continent all the land not submerged. Then the different continents were separated and for seven hundred million years to gather in Rodinia. It is nothing novel: that coming and going of supercontinents has been a constant in the history of the earth. The last and most famous, 300 million years ago, it was Pangea And one of the funniest things in the world is to see how it broke into pieces. In this video, you can see. You can see more things, in fact. In the video, the team of researchers at the University of Sidney He has studied (and projected) Seismic data of the last hundred millions of years to teach us how, where what speed the current continents began to be as they are. There are many curious things: Against the generalized idea, it can be verified that the continents do not move at the same speed. On the contrary! There are times that the cortex moves very slowly and sometimes very fast. In the Pangea division, as explained Dietmar Mullerthe cortex moved to about 20 millimeters per year. That is, the same speed with which they believe the fingers of the feet. The big question is … when will it happen again? And the restaurant, really, is not simple. As we do not know how plaque tectonics works, there are a lot of models that try to predict the future of the earth’s crust. Have ‘Novopangea‘that suggests that all continent will eventually be around the current Pacific; WE HAVE A ‘Aurica‘With India in the center of the board and we also have a’Amasia‘. But above all, we have Pangea ultimate. The upper image of coffete, It is based on the work of CR Scotese And add to the original image the place where the different countries would be. And what will happen? According to this model, only New Zealand and Scotland will remain as isolated territories. The rest of the countries will merge into a huge mass of firm earth. America will be attached to Africa and Europe (with the United Kingdom well stuck to it) will be north of the earth’s mass. Spain, meanwhile, will continue to share its border with Portugal, Morocco and France, but Tunisia, Algeria and Italy will be added to the equation. Nothing too different To the last PANGEAthe truth. ‘The island of temptations’ had been without great successes for years, but it has revived thanks to an unusual memes reef: Montoya

‘La Revuelta’, in La1, coincides a couple of days a week with ‘The island of temptations’, the tronado reality of TV5 of couples who undergo high pressure tests to demonstrate their love. On January 29, Broncano and her guest, singer NIA, chatted for a while of the abundant plots that the Mediaset program has generated: that is the level of the eighth edition of the program, commented to In its direct competition. Or as with Retraca they recognized in one of the subtitles of the program, “the debate of ‘The island of temptations’ is in La1. TV in Spain is more complex than Marvel Multiverse” Ascent audiences. The audiences with which this edition of ‘The island of temptations’ started They were not especially high. Although it is still to see the average audience of the season, which currently is around 15.4% of Share (something less than last year), in recent weeks its audiences are exceeding 16%, as its content is viralized in networks: its maximum was obtained this last Monday, with a remarkable 18.5%. In any case, it remains far from those stratospheric audiences of 24.1%, 22.5% and 26.3% of the first three editions. What makes this edition different? Without a doubt, their contestants, who have managed to generate viral content without a price. Let’s briefly remember the rules of the contest. A series of couples come to an island, where they separate in two large groups: boys and girls will be tempted in their respective residences, and their partners will later see the images of nonsense, erotic games, dances and falls in plate in temptation. Of course, the more exaggerated the reactions of their partners seeing them “sin”, the more television it results. And thus, the Sevillian Jose Carlos Montoya has become a living meme with his exorbitant reactions to the behavior of his girlfriend Anita. What Montoya has done now. In these weeks that the eighth edition of the program has been running, there have already been criticism for the High level of toxicity of one of the couplesbut Montoya like for that imposed drama, almost an involuntary parody of the Latin character. That personality of an advertisement of colony that has led to Open several shirts to pull As a gesture of spite, literalizing so many couplets about misfortunes, passionate (not knowing that “breaks the shirt” is sometimes also a metaphor); to run aimlessly and finally collapse in the sand of the beach between shoutsas in a karaoke video; And as a great final number, break into the house of the brides to catch her In fraganti in bed, crazy whose conclusion will be seen on the night of February 5. A meme that crosses borders. Montoya’s clear precedent on the island are contestants from other editions that ranged from the cartoon jealousy (“Manué, La Manita Relajá“) or the passions that spread much further further and their weak human wrappings (that cristofer scream”Estefaníaaaaa! “In the first season and that closes the circle with the escape of Montoy Trochants Memesnext to threads that review their life out of the island and inside. But Montoya also transcended borders: It is not necessary to understand Spanish to alone in your body expressiveness of MUPPET in love. A dead end. Montoya is the perfect example of all the needs, attractions and problems of the program: it is very hilarious to contemplate its naked behavior, but we all know that it is creating show. There is an abyss between Montoya and the Primal “Who puts my leg on me“From the first edition of ‘Big Brother’, disarming in its naive ‘Blind trust’ that was crowned as the best reality Spanish of all time. Here we all know the rules of the game, and that makes it more wild, but in essence, much less human. Header | Mediaset In Xataka | Japan had a real “Truman show”. We have been listening to the benefits of Omega-3 for years. Now we know that it also rejuvenates us

Surely we have heard more than once about the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. This compound has a well -documented positive effect on our cardiovascular health, but perhaps its positive impact is more complex (and more extensive). Stop the clock. A new study has observed that omega-3 fatty acids is able to slow down our epigenetic clock, that is, biological aging. The participants in the study were subject to different treatments that combined not only Omega-3 supplements, but also vitamin D and exercise. Omega-3. The Omega-3 They are a group of polyunsaturated fatty acids that we usually associate with fish consumption (especially species such as northern north or white tuna, mackerel, salmon, sardines and trout), but which can also be found in other types of food, from Linaza oil nuts, through soybeans or chia seeds. Over the years, we have found a beneficial impact of omega-3 fats on our cardiovascular health: they decrease the presence of triglycerides (other types of fat present in our blood), as well as the possibility of developing arrhythmias and the accumulation of plate in the arteries. Omega-3 can also help reduce blood pressure. 777 participants. The study conducted A follow -up of 777 participants over three years in the context of the DO-HEALTH project. Participants were 70-year-old or older adults to whom a combination of a gram per day of Omega-3, 2,000 International units (IU) of vitamin D and/or an exercise program at home (three 30 -minute weekly sessions). The details of the study were published In an article For the magazine Nature Aging. Four measures. The team used four biological age measures, the “watches” Phenage, Grimage, Grimage2 and Dunedinpace. They observed that the Omega-3 fats had an effect on three of these four measures (Phenage, Grimage2 and Dumedinpace). On the other hand, they did not observe remarkable effects when vitamin D applied as the only treatment. The team also quantified the measure to which the Omega-3 “slowed down” the passage of time in our body. During the three years of study, those who consumed this supplement saw their aging in the equivalent of Between 2.9 and 3.8 months. “This result extends our previous findings of the DO-HEALTH study, in which these three factors (Omega-3, vitamin D and exercise) combined had the greatest impact by reducing the risk of cancer and preventing premature fragility in a period of three years, to reduce the rhythm of the biological aging process ”, explained in a press release Heike Bischoff-Ferrari, who led the study. Stop the clock. Measure ours biological age It is not a simple task. In his research the team combined different measures to achieve a precise image of the real aging of people but even this is, they admit, a strategy with limitations. That is one of the reasons why the team intends to continue investigating the interactions between the consumption of fatty acids and the improvements in our hope and quality of life. An approach that goes beyond concrete diseases and focuses on something much more generic but of first importance. For years the prefabricated houses were the ugly duckling of the house. Now the Basque Country believes that they are its salvation

The Basque Country wants more housing. And it has A plan to get it: Bet on prefabricated constructionsa model that over the last years has gained weight in the real estate sector but that – that –They recognize From Euskadi – it loads with the negative image that still has the “prefabricated” among part of the population. To clear doubts, knock down prejudices and above all make clear its institutional commitment, last week the Basque Government presented its’White Book of industrialized social housing ‘. “It is essential to knock down biases,” claims. Housing deficit. The Basque Country needs more housing. Or so those responsible, which recently estimated that the current construction rhythm is insufficient and the region loads with a deficit of some 1,500 annual houses. The problem is not only that gap between the creation of new homes and demand, but to what extent it influences a market that, according to idealist data, has seen how in a matter of only one year the prices of sale rose almost 7% and those of rent 8% In Euskadi. … and “structural deficits”. A few days ago, speaking precisely about the real estate market, the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government, Denis Itxaso, warned of another very related “deficit”: the one that drags the industry itself. “The construction sector has structural deficits, such as lack of labor, challenges related to training and professionalization and a higher speed in construction processes,” he reflected. The relationship between the two problems is evident: the lags in the industry affect their ability to increase the offer and satisfy a residential market. “The challenge that represents the scarcity and housing failure requires balance the market with the greatest offer,” The regional head advocates of urban agenda. In his opinion, Euskadi must endow “his own strategy.” And precisely for that reason a few days ago the Executive presented A document: his ‘White Paper of Industrialized Social Housing’. What strategy is that? The book and the act during which it was presented – in which Itxaso and the director of the Public Society for Protected Housing Promotion participated Visesaamong other positions related to the sector – served to give a track of where the Basque Country wants to go. His government looks with special interest the “industrialized” buildingsreal estate that are created with previously manufactured pieces in a ship instead of following the traditional method of lifting walls and forged in situ. “The way to reduce deadlines”. During The presentation From the manual, held in Bilbao, there was talk of sustainability, digitalization, security, improvement of working conditions, inclusion and also a formula that allows the sector to “respond to the housing and labor deficit”. “The ‘White Book’ includes examples of good architectural practices, highlighting how the use of industrial processes should be the way to reduce execution deadlines and minimize environmental impact,” the Basque Executive ends in Your statement About the act. Along the same lines, the Visesa director pointed out that industrialization is “fundamental” to build “quality housing”. Issue of challenges. Not everything is facilities and clear path in the future of prefabricated housing. During the event there was also talk of “the administrative, financial and regulations barriers that still persist” and the important role that the public administration plays, especially “assuming the role” of promoter. However, if there was a challenge for industrialization in which the accent was accent in Bilbao was another, one other than bureaucratic obstacles or difficulties in getting credit: the image. Perhaps more modular houses are seen today than a couple of decades ago, but the big question, especially if we want to strengthen its weight in the sector, is … What concept do we have of them? “One of the main challenges is citizen perception towards what is considered ‘prefabricated’, often associated with lower quality or provisionality,” admits the Basque Government in Your statementin which curiously only that word is used once: “prefabricated.” Itxaso himself assumes that he “demolish preconceived biases and ideas.” Of the theory … To practice, there is. Visesa He spoke too of the development of about thirty protected homes in Sopela-Asu, in the province of Vizcaya, using precisely “industrialized construction processes.” In the sector, prefabricated, industrialized, modular solutions are also expanding time … and although in Spain they still suppose A modest part of the sector, in other nations, such as the Netherlands, Germany or the United Kingdom, they have managed to get a respectable presence. Some construction companies trust that in a few years industrialization is a significant part of their income. In their favor they do not only have the impulse of the Basque Government, which for another part has already seen On other occasions His commitment to industrialized homes. At the state level the PP has been in favor also to promote this kind of buildings to stop The housing problem In Spain, following the example of countries Like Australia. The Japan islands closest to Taiwan have begun to evacuate the area. They have been preparing for the worst for two years

For decades, Ishigaki It was a back of peace where the greatest concern of its inhabitants was to protect their climate crops and pests. However, for a while to this part The growing tension between China and Taiwan (and United States)has turned the small Japanese island, located only 300 km from Taiwan, into a potential conflict point. Like Ishigaki, to rest of Sakishima Islandsfrom Okinawa’s prefecture, the same thing happens to them, and they are preparing for the worst. The case of Ishigaki. A few years ago, the island has already “armed.” The installation of anti -mushroom missiles and anti -aircraft in the enclavepart of an ambitious military modernization plan in Japan, sought to strengthen the defense of the country, but it could also make Ishigaki a target in case of a confrontation in the region. Farmers like Tetsuhiro Kinjowhose greenhouse is now in the line of fire, They related to New York Times if they can continue living in peace or if the paradise that they have built will disappear under the crossfire of the powers. Of the economic opportunity to the military threat. Japan has long been to see China as an opportunity for economic growth To consider it a direct threat to your safety. For years, the relationship between the two countries It was marked by territorial disputescommercial tensions and the memory of World War II, but always with a political position that avoided confrontations. However, the hardening of Beijing’s control over Hong Kong and Xinjiang, their growing dominance in global supply chains and their aggressive movements in the Eastern China Sea They have generated a change in Japanese perception. The Taiwan inclusion in Japan’s White Bile for the first time reflected Tokyo’s growing concern on the future of the island and its impact on regional stability. The dilemma In the background, the Possibility of a conflict in Taiwan It generates a strategic dilemma for Japan. Some analysts fear that a war in the region not only will bring direct clashes, but serve as pretext for China to try to seize the disputed senkaku isletswhich manages Japan but Beijing claims as his. This concern has given a new impulse to the political sectors that seek to review the Pacifist Constitution of Japan, a historically controversial issue, although increasingly backed in the current context. Not just that. The passage of time does not seem to appease tension Between Taiwan and China, but quite the oppositeso Japan has decided to prepare its closest islands to an eventual geopolitical conflict of major words. Evacuation plans. Before the growing possibility of that crisis In Taiwan, The Japanese government has been designing evacuation plans since 2023 For approximately 120,000 residents of the Sakishima Islands chain, in Okinawa prefecture. The strategy seeks Move the population to the Kyushu region and Yamaguchi prefecturealthough it faces serious logistics challenges, from the availability of transport to the preparation of adequate infrastructure to receive the evacuees. Planning has accelerated as China shows a more aggressive position In the Eastern China Sea and the South China Sea, increasing concerns about a possible invasion of Taiwan and its repercussions in Japan. Logistic challenges No doubt, the Japanese government has identified multiple obstacles for mass evacuation in case of conflict. The plans include The authorization of airports and ports in Fukuoka and Kagoshima as a key exit pointsalthough the estimated time to complete the evacuation of the entire population would be at least six days, a figure that experts consider optimistic and difficult to meet in an emergency scenario. In addition, the lack of adequate infrastructure in local ports and airports, such as the need for clues of at least 3,000 meters and greater depth in the docks to receive large ships, has been pointed out as a critical problem. Maybe for all this, Maritime transport is contemplated as an essential alternativeespecially for those who cannot fly for medical reasons (plus: adverse weather conditions could complicate their viability). In parallel, A plan has begun to improve the capacity of shelters on the mainlandincluding the construction of underground facilities to provide temporary refuge for approximately two weeks in case of attack with ballistic missiles. Drills and tests. As we said, since 2023, the Nation has carried out simulation exercises to evaluate the viability of evacuation and improve coordination between local and national authorities. In March 2024 and This same week of 2025 exercises have been carried out of mapping under the Civil Protection Law, recreating an imminent attack scenario with part of the population participating in the drill. In addition, at the end of 2024 the authorities tested A model case in which 1,000 residents of Tarama Island were evacuated to refuge facilities in the prefecture of Kumamoto. Tests, in short, that have allowed identifying failures in coordination and the availability of resources, which has led to the review of the protocols. In this regard, one of the most urgent problems is the supply of food and supplies for a displaced population of that magnitude, a challenge that will require exceptional logistics to guarantee the efficient distribution of resources. Security evacuating. One of the biggest risks identified in these plans is The vulnerability of evacuation transport to possible attacks. In this regard, a government official has warned that The airplanes and ships that move to the civilian population could become military objectiveswhich would make an essential significant reinforcement of Japan’s air and naval defense. In addition, this has revived The debate on the strengthening of the country’s defensive capabilitiesparticularly in a context where Japan has increased its defense budget and has reinforced its military cooperation with the United States and other allies. An uncertain scenario. Thus, the growing approach to Japan in mass evacuations planning reflects a change in their security perception, going from a deterrence to deterrence to a most active preparation against possible military contingencies. While tensions in the Taiwan Strait continue to climb, the nation is in a career against time to ensure that its population is … Read more

What is High-Flyer, the Chinese fund that drives Deepseek and has been using AI for years to make investment decisions

Deepseek is the fashionable artificial intelligence (AI) company. Your most recent language models They have challenged Openai’s leadership and have caused a real earthquake in the technology industry. These days we have known that It was founded in May 2023 and that has developed its products with a fraction of the computing capacity of some of its main western rivals. But what else is known? Let’s see it. The promising present of Deepseek is the result of years of investigation that began long before its official constitution. Its origin is found in High-Flyer, a quantitative investment fund created in 2015 by the Electronic Engineering student Liang Wenfeng with two classmates. As they count on their websitethe idea was that the algorithms became the heart of their business by allowing real -time operations. A company focused on the Chinese stock market High-Flyer completed its first stock market assisted by AI in October 2016, a movement that triggered an unstoppable effort to continue working in that regard. The company formed software and hardware research and development teams. And apparently it was the appropriate decision. In 2017 I already applied AI In almost all its strategies of quantitative investment, but to continue advancing I needed to break some barriers. They discovered that complex models training tasks required a huge calculation power. This did not discourage them and in 2019 they launched a dedicated division called High-Flyer ai to address the challenge. The group built started working with 500 GPU, then built a 1,100 GPU supercomputer A100 of NVIDIA And in 2022 he spent 140 million dollars to raise the number up to 10,000 GPU, before the entry into force of the export controls of the United States. High-Flyer was completely focused on developing its algorithmic trading business. He had his own deep learning training platform and a Outstanding computer infrastructure. Meanwhile, in the United States there was a company called Openai that bet on the generative AI and that He had surprised many with the benefits of his GPT-3 language model. As China Talk collectsLiang wanted to go beyond finance. For a long time he had been convinced that AI would change the world, and had found the opportunity to bring his effort to the next level. In 2023, High-Flyer announced that it would lay the foundations of a new organization to advance the development of general artificial intelligence (AGI). Thus Deepseek was born, with an injection of capital of high-flyer. Deepseek is a product of High-Flyer work and has obviously drunk this company. Both signatures share offices in the same building, although they seem to use different computing resources. The AI startup says it has H20 chips, that are sold as donuts in Chinaand NVIDIA H800, and that has used only 2,048 GPU of this latest model to train its most recent models, an affirmation that some have questioned. They are almost 6,500 million light years

We are accustomed, or almost, to listen that the James Webb space telescope (JWST) has discovered a new galaxy in the confines of the observable universe. However, it is not always necessary to go so far to appreciate the immense power of the orbital telescope. Just stay halfway. 40 new stars. An astronomer team with representation of the University of the Basque Country and the DIPC (Donostia International Physics Center) has managed to capture in images and identify 44 new stars. This is the greatest number of stars identified in the distant universe to date. In addition to the stars, the team also discovered what could be a distant supernova. To almost 6,500 million light years. What makes this singular finding (in addition to the bulky number of stars found) is in the distance of these stars: these are found 6,500 million light yearsspecifically in the dragon arch galaxy. The stars find at such a distance that we see them as they were when the known universe had approximately half of their age. This galaxy is behind an immense cluster of galaxies, called Abell 370. A new lens for the JWST. The presence of Abell 370 It was instrumental in the discovery of these stars. All due to the gravitational lens effect. The enormous mass of these galaxies distorts the space around it, which diverts the light similar to how the lenses of a telescope do. This allows James Webb to see objects furthest than in principle would allow their already wide capacities. This phenomenon is also responsible for the “arched” aspect of the galaxy in which the newly discovered stars are located. The dragon arch is a spiral galaxy whose image comes to us as if it were a gum, all due to the influence of Abell’s cluster 370. The color of the stars. In his analysis of these stars, the team responsible for his discovery paid special attention to these. They discovered that it is red supergigants (such as the giant Betelgeuse, visible in the constellation of Orion). According to Explain the teamthis contrasts with previous similar findings that had predominantly detected blue supergigants. The details of the study were published In an article In the magazine Nature Astronomy. A new way to unravel dark matter. Beyond the relevance of finding such distant stars, the team highlights that the finding can teach us new details about the cosmos. Specifically, help us to reveal the mystery involved in dark matter. Our rivers have been contaminated with medications for years. The EU has a solution: let the pharmaceutical companies pay

When we read that one of the great environmental challenges of our time is the state of our rivers, our imagination travels directly to the fecal waterindustrial pollution or, lately, microplastics. In what we don’t usually think It’s in the medications. But the problem is real and the European Union is determined to solve it. How can medications ‘contaminate’? Drugs (whether for medical or veterinary use) have a very long life after consumption. And, inevitably, a good part of the medications end up being expelled from the body and entering wastewater. From there, despite the efforts of treatment systems, they reach rivers, lakes and seas. An increasingly solid scientific consensus. Although it is difficult to get a complete idea of the impact of this type of pollution on the environment, the investigations that are appearing They make it clear that it is very far from being an anecdote. In fact, at least 631 pharmaceutical substances (human or veterinary) have been found in more than 71 countries on five continents. Many of them, at levels higher than those considered safe. In 2022, the CSIC analyzed 258 rivers and, after cataloging the Manzanares River as “the most contaminated by drugs in Europe”, warned that we were in the face of “a global threat to the environment and human health.” “Global threat (…) to human health”? Are we not exaggerating? In the case of antibiotics, to use an example we are all familiar with, this is clearly seen. We have been warning for years that the abuse of these medications leads to the emergence of multiresistant bacteria. That’s true on the consumption part, yes; but also in the part in which enormous quantities of them are dumped into nature every year (with the problems that this causes for ecosystems and the risks that it poses). Why is this news now? Because the European Union wants to take action on the matter and, as Oriol Güell explainsis introducing a whole new battery of measures in the renewed Directive on Urban Wastewater Treatment. The goal is to “reduce the compounds discharged into the environment by more than 80%”; the environment, the introduction of a whole series of “quaternary treatments” (ozone, activated carbon, new membranes, etc…) in the treatment systems. The problem? that the EU wants them to pay the affected industries: above all, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. An idea that the sector has not liked. As expected, the application of the “polluter pays” principle in these terms has not pleased the sectors involved. Above all, because of the costs. According to the employers’ associations of both sectors, the application of the European directive would lead to an increase of about 500 million euros in Spain alone. And, beyond the expected conflicts between companies and administration, it is true that the movement is paradoxical. Not because it is not reasonable to charge the costs of water treatment to those who produce them; but because just a couple of years ago, Europe announced its intention to bet on having drug factories on the continent (and thus reduce its dependence on international supply lines). Towards a culture of responsible drug use. Be that as it may, in the end we always return to the same thing: the drug industry is heading straight into a very complex crisis in which health, economic, environmental and cultural issues intermingle so as not to lead us to a dead end. One in which we risk our health, the future and our lives.
