The announcement is supported by a very specific alliance: Tata Electronics and ASML have signed a memorandum of understanding for the future Dholera semiconductor plant in Gujarat. The facility, which the release presents as India’s first 300mm commercial factory, has a planned investment of 11 billion dollars and will be aimed at producing semiconductors for a wide range of sectors. “token factories” with their own hardware
