The US attacked China with tariffs and China has counterattacked by stopping buying meat from them. The big winner has been Australia

The United States was one of the main exporters of beef to China, but the tension between both countries and the tariff war has ended this relationship. The winner of the situation is Australia, which is already the country that exports the most beef to China, but also one of the main partners of the United States. What is happening. There was no official statement from the government. Last March, China did not renew its beef export licenses with the United States and has found a new partner to meet demand: Australia. Beef exports have increased 35% in the first half of the year and the Australian livestock sector has already invoiced 6.6 billion dollars, according to Nikkei Asia. Shipments to the Chinese market have grown by 65%, but they have also increased to the United States by 48%. It’s a double victory. Why it is important. China is the largest importer of agricultural products and is using this stance to harm the United States. They already did it with their decision to stop buying soybeans from the United Stateswhich was their main supplier, and now they have done it with beef. The beef trade between the United States and China produced around 120 million dollars a month. Now that number is zero. It is another example that dismantles Trump’s storywhich defends tariffs as a beneficial measure for the United States. Skyrocketing prices. The price of meat reached its all-time high last September, according to data from United Nations. In particular, the increase in the price of beef is caused by several factors. On the one hand, the decrease in production in countries such as the United States, New Zealand and Europe. In the United States specifically, the shortage has been caused because of the drought. On the other hand, tariffs and geopolitical tensions have put pressure on international market prices. The game board has been reconfigured, with the United States and China turning primarily to Australia and Brazil to meet their demand. perfect position. At least for the moment, Australia wins because it is in a good position with the main meat importers. In China they are already the first supplier of beef, while in the United States they are the second behind Brazil. The key is that while Trump imposed 50% tariffs on Brazilin Australia they only have 10% because they mainly export minced meat for hamburgers. Australia and China. There was not always harmony between the two nations. In 2020, China suspended imports of Australian beef. The reason given was labeling problems for some products, but everything indicates that the decision had more to do with the critical stance of the Australian government about China’s handling of the coronavirus. More and more people are stopping publishing things on their social networks

There was a time when opening Instagram meant to look out to the life of our friends. A smoking coffee under the Valencia filter, a badly framed selfie on the beach or the pet of a colleague yawning. It was an improvised, domestic showcase, a mural of shared banalities that, paradoxically, made us feel closer. As The New Yorker recalledthat “breakfast photo” represented the utopian dream of social networks: that millions of common people could publish fragments of their lives with minimal intervention, from the most trivial to the most intimate, and that that worldly record became something valuable, a “dynamic file of reality from the ground.” More than a decade later, the landscape is another. Yes in 2018 The BBC calculated That about 40% of the world’s population used social networks, dedicating about two hours a day to share, today users are still connected, but less and less willing to show their lives. From vacuum feed. The decrease in the public use of networks is already evident. According to a Morning Consult report28% of Americans publish less than a year ago, compared to 21% that does more. Among generation Z, just 18% admit to posting daily. In a recent article, the BBC has confirmed the trend: One third of users publishes less than before, with a descent specially pronounced among those under 30. And the phenomenon is not limited to the United States. In Spain, Iab Spain has presented the 16th edition of the Social Network Study 2025in collaboration with praise, which confirms a similar wear: 33%of Internet users have abandoned a platform in the last year, especially X (28%) and Facebook (15%), but also Pinterest (15%) or LinkedIn (12%). The main reasons are the lack of use, loss of interest and boredom. The hangover of publishing. This withdrawal has even its own name. National Public Radio (NPR) He has baptized it as Grid Zero, The Instagram phenomenon in which more and more young, especially from the Z gene, erase all their publications and leave their profiles as a “blank canvas.” Adam Mosseri, Chief of Instagram, acknowledges: “Adolescents spend more time in private messages than in stories, and more in stories than in feed.” Instagram itself has detected that young people prefer ephemeral or private interactions. His cultural researcher Kim Garcia has summarized it as follows: “Gen Z has award to permanence and the fingerprint. They do not want their entire personal change process to be publicly exposed.” According to NPRhe Grid Zero It works as an immune system against digital addiction: hide the feed, take refuge in the intimacy of chats or private accounts is a way of protecting. This modesty contrasts with the millennial era. For those who border medium age today, networks were the natural space of the exhibition. The hangover was predictable, as the writer Kyle Chayka has pointed out In an interview with the BBC: “We learned the disadvantages of sharing your life online during the 2010s.” Unless you want to be an influencer, it is no longer worth it: the disadvantages of publishing are too large and the advantages do not reach. ” Privacy and fear of judgment. The FEED blackout responds to different variables, but the first is the need to take refuge in oneself. According to online psychologymany users choose not to publish to protect their privacy, take care of their mental health and avoid risks such as harassment or unnecessary exposure. However, in the case of gene z the phenomenon is more extreme. The nod mag He explained Digital hyperconcience: a simple “like” can be interpreted as a political or identity statement. The fear of cancellation leads many to interact as little as possible. The young Kanika Mehra (24) He has recognized it for The New Yorker: “We are all voyeurs now: we keep looking, but we no longer post, because publishing generates a ram of vulnerability.” To this climate is added the sensation of inadequacy in the midst of global crises. A waitress in Washington has told The New Yorker that he erased some happy selfies because “with everything that happens in the world, I was ashamed to seem frivolous.” From the social to consumption. Beyond personal motivations, there is an undeniable fact: almost everything we see today in networks is consumed. “The platforms have become less social; they look more like television, full of mercantilized content, lifestyle aspirations and advertising,” Chayka has summarized in the BBC. Besides, The New Yorker also coincides: The feeds are dominated by influencers, war headlines, political propaganda, videos generated by AI and “sponcon.” Amateurism, the initial engine of the networks, was replaced by careful production and light rings. And the data are there to confirm it: Morning Consult He has found that more than half of adults (52%) perceive the content of networks as “repetitive and tired.” And the Wall Street Journal He has pointed out that users feel that “the community is no longer there”; Instead, there is an endless commercial showcase. Although it is not an empty network. Silence in the feed does not mean abandonment of the platforms. On the contrary: we remain connected, but we move to more intimate spaces. Mosseri He has recognized it in an interview cited by WSJ: “All sharing between friends is going to direct messages. Today more photos and videos are sent by Stories, and more for stories than by the feed.” The BBC Reaffirms the turn: Personal content “has been oriented towards individual messages and private groups.” In Spain, the IAB Spain study Confirm What WhatsApp is the most used network: 96% of Internet users use it daily. The social did not disappear: he simply hid. Millennials, the new boomers? This hurts, but we enter generational. Millennials – among the ones I included – we grew up exhibiting our online life. Today we appear as the “digital boomers” in the eyes of the gen Z. from the new code They have explained it with irony: Millennial profiles seem outdated, full of poses, … Read more

Spam calls are a problem for everyone and Apple knows. Its solution with iOS 26 has been stopping braking

The mobile sounds and is an unknown number. The possibilities that there is a commercial wanting to sell you the last superooferta fiber They are high Or, in the worst case, it could be a Stofler getting through your bank. We have been talking about the problem of the so -called spam and fraudulent and so far no one has found a 100% effective solution. Yesterday Apple introduced us iOS 26a renewal that We have already been able to try And with a novelty that goes in this line, although the solution they propose is much more aggressive than those of the competition. The problem of unwanted calls. Commercial calls bother. They are abundant and it seems that they have the ability to call us when it comes to us. Even the government has taken letters in the matter and for a few days, Commercial calls from mobile numbers 600 or 700 are prohibited. But beyond wakeing us from the nap to improve our light rate, the real problem is in telephone fraud. The Fraudulent SMS They are incessant, but the scams also come by call. Through techniques of Vishing and Telephone spoofing We have seen how They can empty the account by passing through your bank. In view of such elaborate scams Both entities and the government have begun to take the problem seriouslybut despite efforts, we still can’t talk about the definitive solution. How the Apple call filter works. iOS 26 It will bring news in the telephone app and one of them is the call filter, which in Xataka we have already tried. If you receive a call from an unknown number, the iPhone automatically activates what they call live voicemail that asks the interlocutor who it is and the reason for the call. Once you have identified, the call appears on our screen and we can see the details that you have facilitated, so we can choose whether to respond or not. If we do not respond, the iPhone will tell those who call us that we are not available and will allow you to record a second message. By the way, whoever attends to the phone before us is Siri’s voice. This is how the calls of unknown numbers appear once the iPhone requests more information. Apple’s proposal is very different to what we were seeing in the competition. Here there is no filter as such, if we activate the live voicemail will affect all calls that reach us with unknown numbers. The only thing we can choose is whether the calls will be referred to Siri to request more information, to the voice mailbox or go to the list of unknown numbers. The configuration options offered by Apple. He Approach Android is more flexible and intelligent. A long time ago Android has functions to fight telephone spam. If we use Google’s APP we have different tools to fight with unwanted calls. It has a call identifier that tells us if they call us a business that is in the Google database and also If a number is suspicious of spam. Nor is it infallible and there are times when any call is sneak. If it happens, it allows us to mark the number as spam. As exclusive to the Pixel we have Call Assistwhich works similarly to Apple’s live voice mailbox. If we choose to filter the call, Google Assistant will ask about the reason for the call and will offer us a transcription. There is much similar, but an important difference: we choose what to filter and on the screen we will see before if a number is suspicious of spam, while Apple treats the same to all unknown numbers. This will alert Android of the scams. Image: Google With Android 16Google wants to go further and will be implemented Functions focused on fighting with telephone scamshow to prevent us from deactivating Google Play Protect or install apps from the browser. He will also be able to detect financial scams and alert us with a notice on the screen. Collateral damage. Apple sells its call filter as the solution to eliminate interruptions and in this sense is effective, but it can also be a problem because not all calls of unknown numbers are disposable. How many people will hang when listening to Siri’s voice asking why he calls us? Even though it is normal, it is still very unhappy and even counterproductive in certain scenarios as an emergency or if the doctor calls us. An intermediate solution. As we said, Android is not infallible blocking spam, but it does have some intelligence behind (and more will have when Android 16 arrives), while Apple opts to stop braking. Perhaps the exit is to find a solution halfway between the two where we can have more flexibility when limiting calls without risking to lose some important. China is stopping money and is starting to charge it. They are not good news for Spain

The golden age of Chinese financing is over. Beijing no longer gives money to build ports and railroads, now it is demanding payment of what it lent at the time. Why is it important. China has lent more than 800,000 million dollars to 150 countries since 2013 With its initiative of the ‘Silk route‘. Today, 60% of that portfolio is in the hands of technical bankruptcy or on the edge of the financial collapse. The facts. The money that countries must return to China every year already exceed the “new” money that China lends. It is the end of the expansive model of the last decade: the country is going from being a generous lender to becoming a relentless creditor. The strategy. China has divided its debtors into two categories, and each group applies a radically different treatment: Large countries with huge debts (80% of the portfolio): They receive bailouts, bridge loans and special facilities. Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Argentina, Angola … Small countries with minor debts (Remaining 20%): Only payment extensions. Zero money new. Zambia, Ghana, Mongolia, Tayikistan, Republic of Congo … Of course, the treatment that the first group receives has nothing to do with generosity but with self -preservation. China is rescuing those who, to break, could make their state banks sink. The rest are abandoned to their fate. The context. The crisis began soon. Specifically in 2015, two years after starting this strategy, when the prices of some raw materials collapsed. Covid accelerated the problems, as well as the war in Ukraine. The rise in interest rates at a global level It was the lace. The money trail. China is replicating the Western Banks Manual of the 1980s and nineties, when Wall Street and the City massively lent petrodollars after the oil crises of the seventies. When the eighties debt crisis arrived, they went from financing development to demand structural adjustment programs. The same banks that had pushed indebtedness became the toughest creditors. China is in that transition: of “Strategic Development Partner” to creditor which prioritizes their banking balances on the stability of debtor countries. It is the market, friend. Deepen. For Spain, the change has three impact vectors: The big construction and Spanish engineering (ACS, Actiona, Sacyr) lose access to megaprojects financed by Chinese banks, especially in Infrastructure in Africa and Asia. Direct Chinese investment in Spain will be more selective: less strategic purchases and more demand for immediate profitability in sectors such as energy and technology. Financial instability in African and Latin American countries where Spanish companies (Telefónica, Iberdrola, Repsol) operate increases political and exchange risk, complicating its operations in markets that depended on Chinese financial oxygen. In summary. China has completed its emerging power metamorphosis to established power, and its financial policy reflects it. The Silk Route was the last great expansive project of a country that sought global influence buying loyalty with cheap money. Now that it has that influence, it acts like any mature creditor: charging. It is the end of an era and the beginning of a more predictable global financial order, but also more ruthless. Europe has focused on stopping Chinese electric cars. The true threat is in its cars with combustion engines

He returned with other motor partners of the motor of the presentation of a new model or of a first contact. I do not remember the car that was but it was at Frankfurt airport, almost a second house for whom we have entered this world, and we were in 2023. I receive a call from a phone that I didn’t have saved. To the answer, the person on the other side of the phone is presented and explains that Chery, the company that owns Omoda and Jaecoo, are finalizing the details for their first events in Spain. The Chinese group was going to land In our country. It was already an open secret But I talk a few minutes on the phone to learn more details. They explain that they are very clear: they will enter the market with combustion vehicles. It is not that its bet is clearly focused on low ranges but they are sure that their arrival in Europe should be through models with thermal motors. The electric car is perhaps the future (and yes, they have options saved to launch) but for now they will focus on gasoline and hybrid vehicles because they are still preferred by European customers. Although logical, the speech did not stop crashing. It is not that they rejected the electric car but they were clear that they were going to follow that very own philosophy of Toyota to sell in each market what the client asks. And the client, in Europe, continues to prefer the hybrid car or the pure combustion. When Omoda made his long in Spain, we explained that he had MG as a reference. Saic’s company is the Chinese manufacturer who More cars is selling And, in fact, this Chinese state group is the most successful in our continent at the moment. His MG4 Electric It is one of the great supervants because by size and autonomy it was much cheaper than its rivals. However, Saic knew how to smell very well what the client claimed. The MG4 Electric is especially interesting in markets such as Spanish, where we prioritize cheap cars. But for all those who do not want or cannot afford the jump to the electric car, the former British company has offered a good handful of pure combustion products that have managed to place themselves in the lower market. And the results have not been waiting. We looked at the electric car … Given that electric offensive of Chinese cars for Europe, with the MG4 Electric leading a landing to which Byd has joined as a great reference between plug -in vehicles, child, Xpeng, Dongfeng, Leapmotor and, more discreetly, Chery (omoda/Jaecoo), the European Union decided to lift commercial barriers to the cars arrived from the cars arrived from the Asian country. Those commercial barriers are translated, Since October 2024in specific tariffs on each company, taking into account the alleged help that the brand has received from the Chinese State and the degree of collaboration they have shown with the European authorities in their investigation. The Tariffs apply to electric cars And even those brought by European companies from there as a result of their association with Asian companies. But those commercial barriers They do not apply to combustion vehicles nor to the plug -in hybrids that is where, truly, China is hurting. We do not know if it is part of a strategy not to make tariffs a direct attack on the Asian country or because from Europe it was considered that the real danger was in the Chinese and cheap Chinese car and that local businesses could fight with low -end combustion cars. But the truth is that where they begin to get a part of the cake is exploit those cars with combustion engines. For proof, the SAIC growth presented in Europe under different brands. According to ACEA dataThey sold in Europe 157,340 units in 2024, 6.7% more. A figure that places them above Jaguar-Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Mazda and Honda. Its market share stood at 1.5%. And in what we have this yearSaic keeps making his way. In what we have been registered 52,508, a third of the cars that placed in 2024, with a 52.3% growth in the first quarter of the year. At the moment, he has left Suzuki behind, who had it ahead in 2024, he is shot by Volvo, and his market share has grown up to 1.9% (compared to the 1.2% last year at this point at this point). As for the other Chinese companies, we have no data at European level. We do know that Chery has announced That Omode and Jaecoo will extend to a total of 19 markets this year. So far, they only operated in eight markets but in 2025 we will see them. With this extension they expect to sell about 10,000 units when April ends and reach 75,000 units at the end of the year. It is a small figure with respect to what we have seen with omoda but will allow them to place themselves above companies such as Honda or Mazda if the figures end up closing. In Spain, Registrations reflect that Omode is already selling almost as much as Fiat, accumulating 2,539 units in what we have been over, and surpassing brands fully settled in our country such as Honda or Suzuki. In addition, Chery adds 1,945 units of Jaecoo and 1,154 of Ebro. Right now, their more than 5,700 units sold as a group place them in a competitive position despite only offering a handful of models and without having received the options with eco or zero emissions stickers They are a claim. With very little time in the market, the Jaecoo 7 plug -in hybrid is already the fourth most selling model in our country. For its part, Byd already sells more than Tesla In our country (3,809 units compared to 3,169 units of Elon Musk cars) but focuses the bulk of its registration on … Read more

LaLiga has in her hand to prevent people from stopping seeing illegal IPTV. You just have to imitate Netflix

The nightmare of IPS blocks by LaLiga continues. Not only that: it seems to increase. Soccer is becoming a problem For Internet users in our country, and are (we are) paying fair for sinners. Why is this happening? This is what we try to find out analyzing one of the potential root problems – the cost of seeing football – and stating those prices with what has happened on other streaming platforms. Why what works for Netflix or Spotify does not do so for football? Let’s see it. How much does football cost in Spain and Europe Today in Spain football fans depend on telephone operators to enjoy these broadcasts. If the objective is to be able to access all the First Division Soccer matches of LaLiga and those of competitions such as the Champions League, The options are two: Movistar+ and Orange. They told it a few months ago Our mobile Xataka companionswhich explained what were the disputes available plans, in which fiber, mobile and television are always combined in different versions. In those two cases Prices start from 115 euros per month of Movistar or the 80.95 euros per month of Orange (although without mobile data). O2 and Jazztel also offer some games, but much more limited: each day we have access to a LaLiga EA Sports (First Division) match, a Champions League match (if celebrated day) and three games of LaLiga Hypermotion (Second Division). That exclusivity of Movistar and Orange, however, They could change: Yoigo and Masmoble plan a television service with Orange TV infrastructure and in which 90 channels and all football will be included. At the moment there are no prices or defined availability date for this project. And in Europe? Other European countries have different costs, but it is important here to emphasize that the prices we will talk about are access to football without further ad I would go apart. Thus, we have: France: Dazn has a package to see all the link 1 for 35 euros per month (25 euros/month if you are under 26 years). Canal+ has a plan that also includes European competitions and costs 29.99 euros per month. Germany: In Dazn Unlimited All Bundesliga and Champions League matches for 34.99 euros per month are available. There are some optional platforms such as Sky with similar prices. Italy: DAZN offers all the A series A for 30 euros per month, while they can see the Champions League, it must be combined with Sky Italy, which has a cost of 25 euros per month. The total cost is therefore 55 euros per month. England: Sky Sports has all the rights to convey the matches, and the package costs about 22 pounds per month (26 euros/month). BT Sport broadcasts the Champions League, and the cost in that case is 25 euros per month, so the combined cost is about 51 euros per month. What is also true is that these amounts and these plans vary constantly and both operators and platforms offer constant promotions in order to capture more users. When Netflix taught us the way There was a time when music downloads or films on P2P networks were especially popular. That was cumbersome and illegal, but there were not many more options either. Or none. This was what was seen in Netflix in 2015, when he arrived in Spain. Everything would change with the arrival of Netflix, Spotify and its competitors, who showed that we could have streaming services of fantastic content, accessible, with a great catalog and with a more than reasonable price. Suddenly I was no longer compensated to be looking for other places: The legal alternative was really remarkable. The subscription model settled and became the norm, and thanks to a good balance, content companies realized something striking: the best way to fight illegal content was to offer a good service at an acceptable price. This principle has been corrupted in recent years: Servcios like Netflix have Uploaded prices Notably, they have stopped allowing Share accounts And they have also put ads, Like all its competitors. Users can protest (we protest), but time has proved those responsible for these services, who have not stopped growing and They are in record figures. How have things come out to Netflix? We can see it in two quite representative graphics of the situation. Since 2012, when the service began to be available in the US (arrived in Spain Something later), Netflix was raising prices more and more frequent. With each climb protests, yes, but … Sooner or later most return. Netflix price evolution in the US. These changes have been analogous in the rest of the world, and Spain is no exception. Source: The Verge. In fact, growth in users is apparently unstoppable in Netflix. The plan with advertisements, which we can criticize so much, It has been a resounding success And today more than half of the new subscribers arrive at the service thanks to this plan. Evolution of Netflix subscribers globally from 2011 to 2024. Source: Business of Apps. At present, the platform has More than 300 million subscriberswhen a decade ago The figure was five times lower (62.71, According to Business of Apps). There have been hardly two semester throughout its history in which there had The shared accounts or the plan with ads. That seems to make it clear that despite everything to millions of users They are still compensated by paying those subscriptions And not to go to illegal content distribution services, so if it works for them, what is happening with football in Spain? The Netflix of Sports Today the standard plan with Netflix ads costs 7 euros per month. Not bad, especially considering what football costs. Even considering the cost of the most affordable plans to see all football in Spain (with many asterisks, about 29 euros in Orange), the price both here and in other countries in Europe seems elevated. Seeing football in Spain costs about 30 euros a month with Orange … Read more

Ahead of Alzheimer’s is vital when it comes to stopping its advance. Some of the most important clues are in language

Alzheimer’s is one of several disorders causing dementia in the third age. It is also the most frequent: in Spain it is estimated that in 2019 there were about 800,000 people suffer from the disease, according to data Spanish Society of Neurology. Globally Estimates They suggest that more than 30 million people live with it. One of the challenges with which patients, family and health professionals have to face is Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Of a Early diagnosis It depends a lot on our reaction capacity to face the symptoms of this disease for now incurable. We have advanced a lot in the diagnosis of this disorder. So much that one of Our main tools Diagnosis is discard, that is, rule out that cognitive deterioration detected in one person is caused by other forms of dementia, such as Parkinson’s. Fortunately, it is not the only tool at our disposal. Another diagnosis pillar are capacities. Specialists can resort to evidence that allows them Evaluate our cognitive abilities And our memory. In this context, interviews can also be conducted to the relatives who help evaluate the patient. The images by scanner, both magnetic resonances, as computerized tomographies or by positron emission, can also give clues. On the one hand they can help in the work of discarding other pathologies, but also They can help To detect the presence of amyloid plates linked to the disease. Until relatively a short time, the confirmation of Alzheimer’s diagnosis could only be done after the patient’s death, examining his brain. Conremps diagnostic techniques can already offer us a comparable degree of certainty. Partly thanks to the last of the tools available to experts, biomarkers. Collecting clues The diagnosis of this disease can only be performed by experts in the field, but sometimes it is important to be attentive to the clues They tell us that in family or relative may be developing the disease. Tracks that can notify us that the time has come to request help from health professionals. In a Recent article in The conversationSarah Curtis, a language expert at Nottingham Trent, listed some perceptible clues through Speech changes of the people who are developing this disease. The first of these indications is the appearance of pauses and doubts in speech, accompanied by a certain vagueness when expressing. That is, the person may have difficulty finding the word you want to use and just trying to overcome this obstacle by resorting to trunk words as “thing” or describing the object vaguely. Another early indication of Alzheimer’s is in confusion when using words. These confusion can be almost imperceptible at the beginning since they can start with words that allude to more general categories, such as using “animal” instead of “dog.” They are more noticeable if the substitution is for another concept in the semantic field, such as using “cat”. Another track listed by Curtis It is the passage of facts to words. People with Alzheimer may have difficulties when completing certain activities, which will result in this person talking about the activity, the emotions that arouses them or even expressing doubts or longing regarding their ability to complete the action. Memory loss can be primed with the lexical variety of the person suffering from Alzheimer’s. That is why this disease can begin by manifesting with An increasingly reduced vocabulary and a greater tendency to repeat words. The fifth and last of the indications mentioned by Curtis on his list, has to do with precision when choosing the words. A person who develops Alzheimer’s can have difficulty listing diverse words in the same category, such as different animals, food or words that begin with a specific letter. This is why the tests used in their diagnosis often ask people who perform this type of enumerations. Many people can read some of these indications and think “this happens to me too.” And it is that confusion of this type are normal. It is common for us to be tongue in countless contexts. That is why it is important to attend to changes in speech and not simply to the existence of confusion or difficulties. Alzheimer’s is a disease that does not appear out of nowhere but is gradually aggravated and is generally not detectable in its early stages. That is why it is often of vital importance attend to your first symptoms. Even more if we consider that some of the treatments are only effective delaying the disease in these early stages. Remember that there are several branches that ICE has, such as special agents (HSI), which are focused on deportation orders signed by a judge (Ero), but sometimes federal officers only carry outfits that say ‘Police’. The National Security Department (DHS) also gave authorization for the Officers of the DEA, AFT, the Marshals office and the bureau of prisons carrying out investigations and arrests of undocumented immigrants. ICE reported that only last Thursday arrested more than 500 immigrantsbut although that figure is a little above the average in terms of arrests that have been made in 2024, for example, which is about 400 people a day.
