I have been tied to a keyboard or a touch screen for so long that when I signed up for Language School it seemed very strange to me to carry a notebook and pen to take notes again. So as soon as I had the opportunity to get my hands on a digital notebook, I didn’t think much about it: the naturalness of writing by hand and how comfortable and practical it is to study with digitized text afterwards: without having to tear out pages, waste time going clean or having crossouts. Or trying to read my handwriting, which I can tell you is terrible. I had been thinking about buying a digital notebook for some time precisely because of those advantages they offer. If it also has artificial intelligence functions to transcribe voice recordings or translate like the iFlytek AI Note 2I was clear: where should I sign? This is a high-flying digital notebook and that has its B side: it is not suitable for all pockets, including mine. ✅ Buy it if… You want a large but light and stylish digital notebook. You are looking for a device compatible with third-party Android apps and the Google ecosystem. You also want to work with your voice. ❌ Don’t buy it if… Subscription passes. You also want it as a reader (it does not have a backlight). You don’t want to spend a lot of money. The essentials in 30 seconds The iFlytek AI Note 2 is a digital notebook with a 10.65-inch black and white e-ink display. Everything you write or draw with the stylus you can have in a short time on your tablet or on your computer thanks to the fact that it is Compatible with essential and most used third-party appsfrom the Google suite (essential for me because it is the one I use in my work and in class) to Notion or Trello. The secret? Which runs on Android 14 and has Google Play. If you like notebooks and writing the old way, the writing experience is agile, pleasant (that little rubbing noise becomes addictive) and immediate, since the latency is minimal. The range of brushes available and their pressure sensitivity is good, but it does not reach the level of excellence of other brands such as Wacom. Between its wide compatibility and how natural it feels to write by hand, I find it great for taking notes. Of course, if you want it to draw, there are better options. That it has a microphone seemed like a bonus to me, for example, to take notes out loud (literally) in class, for presentations and meetings, or voice commands from the AI. Precisely that versatility is what makes it different: it is a vitaminized digital notebook with a lot of potential in professional settings. Of course, taking into account what it costs, expectations are very high and you do not expect it to have some paid functions or that the AI to transcribe text can clearly be improved. What does that subscription offer? For 5.99 euros/month or 60 euros per year you unlock offline transcription, support more AI models (by default, GPT-5), unlimited note synchronization, and an extended warranty program. iFLYTEK AINOTE 2 Smart E-Ink 10.65 Inch Tablet | Ultra-Slim Digital Notepad for Professionals | AI Transcription, Translation and Meeting Summary |

The specifications sheet of the Realme P4x suggests that something is missing, but here is the twist: when you do without what is not essential, you discover that what matters works surprisingly well. In our tests, we have been able to verify that the P4x is better than it seems. And that is what makes it interesting for an audience that does not want to pay for specifications that they will never use. ✅ Buy it if… You have a tight budget of around 200 euros. Do you want a mobile phone enough to answer whatsapps and browse social networks. You want to have a battery with which you can forget about the charger for days. ❌ Don’t buy it if… You want a mobile phone to play demanding games. You give high importance to the photography section. You are looking for a compact phone. The essentials in 30 seconds The Realme P4x is a entry-level mobilewhich already rules it out as an option for those looking for maximum performance and an ultra-versatile set of cameras. But just because it’s a “cheap” phone doesn’t make it a bad device. In fact, he balances his forces very well. The strongest point of this mobile is in its huge 7,500 mAh battery which, as I tell you, will serve to provide two days of use (and even more). It combines it with an LCD screen that at a technological level is far from the best, but is nourished by 120 Hz refresh rate and a very good calibration. It is also a good mobile for take photosalthough without great results. It is a compliant device if there is one and whose price factor It will be essential to unbalance the balance. And it starts at 220 euros, although in its first days of launch it has an offer that makes it even more affordable. 6.6 Design 6.5 Screen 6.5 Performance 5.0 Camera 5.0 Software 7.0 Battery 9.5 in favor Autonomy is a scandal. We earn commission from these links Our experience with the Realme P4x Image: Xataka Big, but manageable. The Realme P4x is a big phone, but it doesn’t feel slippery and it’s easy to reach its entire button panel (on the right side) even with one hand. It doesn’t feel like it has premium material, but it is still comfortable in hand and, although its camera module stands out, it doesn’t “dance” when placed on a table. Approved screen and sound. The Realme P4x makes it clear from the first glance that it is an entry-level mobile, with large frames and a front camera in waterdrop format. Its IPS screen does not stand out for its excellent calibration, but it offers a balanced experience with good viewing angles, sufficient brightness indoors and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Where it is weakest is in the sound, with a single speaker that offers somewhat canned and not very powerful audio, although it maintains good connection options by allowing Bluetooth headphones, USB-C and a 3.5 mm jack. Adjusted performance. The phone has a Unisoc T250, a much lower profile processor than the ones we usually find in other Android phones. On a day-to-day basis it does not present any major problems and moves applications such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, YouTube, Instagram or the browser, and even some casual games, with ease, although it takes time to load and open them. It is not a processor designed to play demanding titles and has an important limitation: it is not compatible with 5G networks. No battery surprises (and that’s a good thing). The battery is one of its strong points thanks to the 7,500 mAh capacity. With normal use, that is, social networks, messaging and some casual games, you can easily exceed two days and even get close to three. The fast charging system has a power of 45W and takes an hour and a quarter to fully charge, although it is possible to achieve a few extra hours of autonomy with occasional charges of 15-20 minutes. Needless to say, the charger is not included in the box. Enough camera. This device has on the back a 50 megapixel sensor and another 2 megapixel monochrome sensor, which I already told you is purely testimonial, since it is not used for any special photo mode, but is a support for the main one that is barely noticeable. The results are acceptable, although with a certain tendency to over-saturate the colors. The portraits usually have a good level of cropping, although in some examples like the previous one there are some errors when focusing on part of the background when it shouldn’t. Daytime rear camera | Image: Xataka Rear camera with night mode | Image: Xataka The front camera is the section with the most room for improvement, with lower color quality and naturalness, as well as a portrait mode that tends to fail when it comes to separating the subject from the background. Overall, the Realme P4x has a solvent main camera for daily use, although it is not a mobile phone designed for those looking for a more complete photography experience. A camera designed for those who prioritize video without giving up photography. And at an affordable price. Canon has thought of content creators and video fans with a very complete entry optionbut maintaining simplicity of use, compact size and providing real solutions that work. This is how we could define the Canon EOS R50 V (where the “V” is the definitive statement of intent of the term vlogging) that we analyze in depth. Technical data sheet of the Canon EOS R50V Canon EOS R50V Sensor 24.2 megapixel (effective) APS-C CMOS (22.3 x 14.9 mm) Processor DIGIC X ISO sensitivity 100-12,800 Firing speed 30-1/4000 s (mechanical), 30-1/8000 s (electronic) Approach Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with automatic detection and tracking of people (eyes, face, head and body), animals and vehicles Screen 3.0-inch (7.5 cm) Clear View II Touch LCD 180º side opening 1.04 million points of resolution 100% coverage Stabilizer Movie Digital IS Video 4K at 30 fps (6K upsampling without cropping), FullHD at 120 FPS Storage SD/SDHC/SDXC slot Battery Lithium-ion LP-E17 (approx. 480 photos). We earn commission from these links The Canon EOS R50V’s main dial shows various video modes Design, ergonomics and accessories: thinking about the vertical format Physically, the EOS R50 V breaks with the sobriety of classic photographic design to prioritize use on social networks. Its body is compact and the set is very light (mainly constructed of high-resistance polycarbonate), which is comfortable in freehand recording sessions. The side of the Canon EOS R50V includes another thread for vertical use on tripods and stands But there are two design decisions that significantly improve the ergonomics of this model for the content creator accustomed to working alone: He front record button: Located next to the grip, it allows you to start or stop the capture completely naturally when the user is self-recording, eliminating the inconvenience of blindly searching for the upper trigger. The lateral thread for vertical format: In addition to the traditional thread on the base, Canon has integrated a second thread on the side of the grip. This allows the camera to be mounted natively vertically on tripods or gimbals, making it easy to create vertical video content such as Instagram Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts without the need for accessories. The Canon EOS R50V Creators Kit includes a small tripod, remote control, microphone and memory card. A complete piece of equipment for multiple uses. The content creator kit provides added value, with accessories that are not just filler, but really practical and of decent quality. He Mini Tabletop Tripod: When closed, its compact legs form an ergonomic handle suitable for freehand work. He remote control: Vital for automating remote shooting without having to constantly move to the camera body. He microphone Multi-function hot shoe: Canon takes advantage of the digital pins on its new hot shoe to power and transfer audio from the included compact-sized microphone. The audio record is clean, precise and with a very low background noise level. The EOS R50V screen rotates 180º and allows comfortable recording while facing the camera. The video performance of the Canon EOS R50 V is, without a doubt, its strongest purchase argument. The camera does not crop the sensor or rescale in the usual way; instead, it uses the full width of its APS-C sensor to capture information at 6K resolution and, through oversampling, compresses it into a 4K UHD file at 30 fps. The result is a remarkable sharpnesswith highly defined textures and great chromatic fidelity. The real blow to the table in this version V is the inclusion of the Canon Log 3 (C-Log 3) color profile in 10 bits. For the food or travel content creator, for example, this translates into the ability to save highlights (such as spot lamps in a dark restaurant) and recover detail in the deeper shadows of the scene during the editing stage. Added to this is the software elimination of the limit of 60 minutes of continuous recording in 4K (which, for example, has its sister the EOS R50), which expands the possibilities for longer recordings, video podcasts or interviews. The stabilization system (IS) of the Canon EOS R50V is digital, with two modes, normal and enhanced (with cropping). As for the stabilizationthe camera delegates all the work to the software through its digital stabilization. With two options. The “Standard” mode delivers on static or smoothly panned shots, and the “Enhanced” mode introduces substantial cropping to the image. The continuous focus system: Dual Pixel II precision Another very notable aspect of this EOS R50 V is its autofocus system. Incorporates the appreciated system Dual Pixel CMOS AF II which behaves with truly remarkable speed and consistency. In video recordings, where light contrasts are high and, in addition, we record a handheld camera with constant movement, the tracking of the subject, and specifically the human eye, has millimeter precision, even if the subject wears glasses or turns his head briefly. With Canon EOS R50V: 1/100 s; f/5.6; ISO 800 Special mention deserves the inclusion of the “Product Showcase” mode (Product Showcase AF). Designed specifically for product reviews or videos, where the camera algorithm Automatically prioritizes any object that approaches the target instantly and accurately. As soon as the object moves out of shot, the focus returns to the presenter’s eye with cinematic smoothness and without the annoying search-for-focus effect. Added to this is a Minimum focusing distance of just 15 centimeters (from the sensor plane according to the RF-S 14-30mm objective). Although the included lens is not a pure macro lens, this short distance allows you to capture extremely close-up details with great comfort and reliability. With Canon EOS R50V: 1/500 s; f/6.3; ISO 2,500. The lens allows you to focus at only 15 … Read more

There are times when you try a product and think “well, it’s not that it’s the best at anything, but everything it comes with works so well.” Well, that is precisely what happens to me with him. Huawei Watch Fit 5. It’s a smart watch which, without being the best in any section, is comfortable, works well, has just the right and necessary functions and will be more than enough for 99% of users. Having tried it, I can only reaffirm this. ✅ Buy it if… Your budget is 200 euros. You want a watch that works well regardless of whether your phone is an iPhone or an Android smartphone. You value comfort and battery. ❌ Don’t buy it if… You want to use a virtual assistant like Google Gemini or Siri from the watch. You want to control home automation devices from the watch or make it part of a larger ecosystem. You like to tinker with third-party applications to expand functions. The essentials in 30 seconds The Huawei Watch Fit 5 is, like his brother Proa fairly simple smart watch, but really capable. Unlike his brother, focused entirely on the most athletic, this watch is more casualmore designed for everyday use, so it drops some advanced health and sports functions to make it cheaper. It is, so that we understand each other, the typical watch that could be worn by both a user who always has his cell phone on silent and does not want to miss notifications (me), or an amateur athlete who usually goes out running or cycling. It is very versatile. It doesn’t have particularly outstanding features, but what it does have works well and meets expectations. The pending issues, however, are the same as always. Not having Wear OS weighs on having a virtual assistant or access to a huge catalog of apps, for example. But what we lose there we gain in, for example, compatibility, since this watch does not tie you to an iPhone or an Android mobile. 8.8 Design 8.5 Screen 9.0 Software 8.5 Battery 9.5 Interface 8.5 in favor It is very comfortable and very light. A week of autonomy with complete peace of mind. The quality/price ratio is excellent against It still doesn’t integrate into a broader product ecosystem, just like the Pro. It doesn’t have an assistant like Gemini or Siri. HUAWEI Watch FIT 5 Smartwatch, GPS, 1.82″ AMOLED Screen, 2500 nits, Ultralight Design, NFC Payment, 5ATM, Up to 10 Days Autonomy, Training Modes, Health Tracking, Android iOS, White The price could vary. We earn commission from these links Our experience with the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Huawei Watch Fit 5 | Image: Xataka The differences with the Fit 5 Pro. The Watch Fit 5 is slightly smaller and lighter than the Fit 5 Pro, and the case is made of aluminum instead of titanium. Your screen is not LTPO (something that is not noticeable in practice and in this size) and lacks some advanced sports functions (such as diving at 40 meters), an electrocardiogram and an arterial stiffness meter. That is, it is a more casual watch than the Watch Fit 5 Pro. However, the reality is that, except in specific cases, these functions are not missed on a day-to-day basis. As if it won’t take anything. It is a very comfortable and very light watch. It doesn’t bother you during the day or when playing sports, but above all, it doesn’t bother you when you sleep, which is important to me. It is pleasant to the touch (the difference with respect to titanium is minimal) and the design, although reminiscent of the Pro, is less marked. The included strap is made of nylon and feels great, but since it has a standard pin we can change it for any other one, as long as it is 22 mm. No complaints in this regard. There are also no complaints about the screen, which meets all expectations. Just and necessary functions (and family sins). As a smartwatch, the device checks almost all the boxes: it allows you to receive (and respond to) notifications and calls; record our sports sessions and health parameters accurately, as well as pay with your mobile phone through Curve Pay. The operating system works perfectly, just like the Pro, and the daily experience is nailed. Now, it still doesn’t have a voice/AI assistant to match, it doesn’t integrate with home automation and the app catalog, although larger than a few years ago, goes as far as it goes. Huawei Watch Fit 5 | Image: Xataka Very good for sport. I find it just as comfortable as the Watch Fit 5 Pro and as far as sensors and GPS are concerned, the performance is similar. The only difference is, as we said, the advanced trial running, diving and golf modes, but if you use the watch to run casually, play tennis or do exercises at the gym, the experience you get is exactly the same in terms of precision and metrics. That is, good. The pending task is a proper padel mode. So, as an idea. Excellent battery. Reach ten days with complete peace of mind with normal use. If we give more effort to the GPS, the figure will go down, but we can stay with the idea that we can spend the week without going through the charger. And when it’s time to do it, good news, because in just over an hour we will have it 100% again. Microsoft just presented the new generation of Surface Laptop and Surface Pro, which now come equipped with Qualcomm processors Snapdragon X2. We earn commission from these links More powerful, more expensive, almost the same design The new Surface Pro (12th edition) and Surface Laptop (8th edition) arrive with 10-core Snapdragon X2 Plus and 12-core X2 Elite chips, replacing the X1 that they equipped 2024 models. Microsoft claims that Graphics performance improves up to 53% in the case of the Surface Pro and up to 58% in the Surface Laptop, according to tests carried out by the company itself. In terms of autonomy, the company promises up to 15.5 hours of local video playback on the Surface Pro and up to 20 hours on the 13.8-inch Surface Laptop. Figures that, if confirmed in real use, are very competitive in the Windows market. The Surface Pro starts at 1,599 euros and the Surface Laptop at 1,699 euros, both with 16 GB of RAM. There are also new features in terms of colors, as the 13.8-inch Surface Laptop debuts in the Jade color (a very pretty light green), and the Surface Pro arrives in Dune (something like bronze) with a matching keyboard. The problem is that, at the moment, through the Microsoft website we can only choose black and silver colors. On the other hand, the 15-inch model makes the jump from 201 to 262 pixels per inch on its screen. In addition, haptic feedback is added to the trackpad, a 24 GB RAM option which did not exist before, and the Surface Pro maintains the OLED screen as a premium option. Other than that, the design is essentially identical to the previous generation, with the same ports, same form factor, same 3:2 aspect ratio, and the Surface Laptop remains LCD-only, while the Pro offers OLED as an option. The price hit The Surface Laptop 7 was sold in 2024 for 1,199 euros in its entry configuration; The new Surface Laptop 8 starts 500 euros more expensive. The same happens with the new Surface Pro 12, which represents an increase of 400 euros compared to the Pro 11 at the time of its launch. Part of that rise has to do with the current component crisisespecially RAM shortage which has made the production chain of the entire industry more expensive (a situation to which Microsoft has partly contributed by putting its foot on the accelerator to build more AI data centers). To this we must add that the previous generation models had already suffered a price increase in April of this year, which means that the new generation comes out with an even higher starting point on that already corrected bar. To try to soften the blow, Microsoft is offering temporary promotions, such as a free keyboard with the Surface Pro, Arc Mouse with the Surface Laptop, and up to 250 euros off per device in exchange for an old computer. They are reasonable incentives, but in Spain, for example, we do not have them available, so they are subject to specific markets. And we must not forget that the 65 W charger is paid separately (+89.99 euros). What Microsoft has decided not to do Over all these years, Microsoft has oriented the … Read more

I think that, as a reader in general and a manga lover in particular, I have found the gift that I will put this year in the letter to the Three Wise Men. Each and every one of the gadgets that I have tried to read digitally They have given me some problems: either they are small, or their screens tire my eyes, or they distract me with notifications or they do not easily accept the most common formats. He Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi It’s quite the opposite. It is what, as a reader, I would definitely want to have on my nightstand and in my backpack. The only thing I’m missing is the 450 euros that, unfortunately for my pocket, it costs. ✅ Buy it if… You read a lot in digital. You want a comfortable, large e-book reader with a good battery. You don’t like the idea of having to buy all the books on Amazon Kindle. ❌ Don’t buy it if… You tend to read unusually or sporadically. You don’t want to spend a lot of money. You want a color screen. The essentials in 30 seconds The Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi is a book reader with a 10.3-inch black and white e-ink display. Everything is normal, except for the operating system, which is Android 15. What does that mean? That you have access to Google Play and, therefore, to the entire ecosystem of reading apps (and non-readable) available for Android. It doesn’t tie you to a platform (like Kindles), but rather gives you total freedom. It works sensationally, it supports all home formats (PDF, EPUB, CBR, MOBI, doc, docx…), it has a backlight (it’s the difference between the Lumi model and the standard one) and the pen is very useful. Your main problem? That it does not have a color screen, that it has little capacity and that the price to pay for it is quite high. Now, if you do not intend to read color documents and are looking for a good black and white reading device for books and manga, this is, without a doubt, one of the options to consider. BOOX Go 10.3 Gen2 Lumi Epapel Tablet 10.3″ Monochrome Front Light 300 DPI 64 GB Android 15 E-Ink The price could vary. We earn commission from these links Our experience with the Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi | Image: Xataka E-ink display: pros. If we talk about reading for a long time, electronic ink screens have no rival: they tire the eyes much lessthey have less reflections and do not suffer when placed in broad daylight. This device features a 10.3-inch eInk panel with 300 pixels per inch resolution and, simply put, it looks great. Not only is the text crisp, but the manga drawings and fine panel details look spectacular. I have not had the slightest problem when reading books, manga, websites and even working with PDFs. A note about qualities: the device offers us several screen configurations, so we can choose if we want a faster refresh at the cost of losing sharpness, or more sharpness at the expense of losing transition speed. Here to taste. I have used it most of the time with the second configuration. Big, but comfortable. It is a large device, but very thin and weighs 300 grams. This means that we can carry it in our backpack without it getting in the way (it came with me to Poland, in fact) or that we can use it in bed without our arms getting tired. In fact, it’s funny that the pencil, which we’ll talk about shortly, is thicker than the reader itself. The weight seems more than it is, in practice it doesn’t feel like it weighs a third of a kilo. Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi | Image: Xataka Moves in fear. Although its specifications may seem modest, the truth is that Android 15 works well with the four gigabytes of RAM and the Snapdragon 750G processor that it has. The 64 GB of storage, however, seems somewhat scarce to me and, furthermore, they are not expandable. By default, there is certain ghosting when we turn the page, but it is neither very exaggerated nor is it something that cannot be fixed by adjusting the refresh rate. I have it configured so that the screen refreshes completely when turning five pages, but if having the shadow of the page is a nuisance it can be adjusted so that it refreshes when turning one. This, needless to say, will slow down loading. Android is always a good idea. The interface is well adapted and has everything necessary to work, namely a reading app compatible with all formats, a browser, an AI assistant whose presence is testimonial, and Google Play. The advantage, of course, is the compatibility with Android apps, so you can install Google Play Books, Kindle, Moon Reader, Notion or Manga Plus to stay up to date with One Piece. It supports all popular formats, so you can use any EPUB, MOBI or PDFs you buy on any platform. About the pencil: the device includes a stylus to take notes, write, make annotations on files, etc. It works quite well and responds to pressure, but there is minimal latency that makes typing feel a bit clunky. It makes more sense to make specific annotations on a PDF or a drawing than to take quick notes in a class, for example. Boox Go 10.3 (Gen II) Lumi | Image: Xataka Charger? The device arrived charged at 80% 16 days ago and today, after using it literally every day for at least an hour-hour and a half, I put it on charge with 28% battery remaining. This is the advantage of these devices: they barely consume anything. Loading is a little slow, but nothing to worry about considering that we will do it every so often. A year ago I had the opportunity to try the Dreame A2a 2,800 euro robotic lawnmower that I loved, but it was too much for the 100 square meters of the garden at home. In a garden like this something smaller, more compact and, above all, cheaper would have been enough. Then Mova, Dreame’s sub-brand, arrived and put its ViAX 500a smaller, more humble lawnmower robot with a price tag of 749 euros. And that’s another movie. ✅ Buy it if… You have a small garden and you want to forget about periodic maintenance. You are looking for a silent robot. You value good obstacle detection. ❌ Don’t buy it if… You have a large garden, greater than 100-150 square meters. It is full of trees or decorative objects. You want to configure absolutely everything from the app. The essentials in 30 seconds The Mova ViAX 500 stands out for delivering what it promises: it is a robotic lawnmower designed for small gardens, with good navigation and programming capabilities. The cut is uniform and adjustable and the battery is enough to cover a garden of 100-120 square meters such as that of a chalet. Its biggest problem is around the edges and in smaller areas. The robot seems to be afraid of getting too close to the edge, especially when the surface is not quite ready, and small areas of grass tend to not go over them completely. In general, it is a good purchase if we are looking for a robot that we can program and forget about it until it is due for maintenance. Now, in a large house with extensive gardens, many nooks, trees and narrow areas, it is quite likely that it will suffer more. Setting up these devices is just as easy as setting up a robot vacuum cleaner: You take it out, put it in the base, connect it to WiFi and map the area. You must do the latter by hand, controlling it as if it were a radio-controlled car. The base must be anchored to the ground with the included plastic screws and, obviously, you must connect it to the power. The cable, luckily, is very, very long, so you can pull it into the house if necessary. The little advice: If you can, put the foundation in the shade. The summer heat plays against these devices, even more so considering that the base does not have a hood. If your garden allows it, place the base in a place where the sun does not shine fully all day. Don’t worry about irrigators or rain, the robot has IPX6 resistance and can withstand them without problem. Cuts the grass pretty well. The robot has a rotating platform with three blades at the bottom. We can adjust this from the robot itself (not from the app) so that the cutting height is between two and six centimeters. My recommendation: three-four centimeters. It can also be configured to cut in a zig-zag pattern, which is recommended to improve uniformity, as well as programming. No complaints in this regard, except that the smallest areas are usually reviewed halfway. It’s as if the robot thinks it’s too big to work in that area. Be careful with edges and trees. Although the navigation via LiDAR and camera is exceptional, I have to give the slap on the wrist at the edges. Although it can be configured to “go in” a little further, the truth is that if the edge is not perfectly flush with the ground you will see that, over time, it will end up being longer than the rest of the garden. And it will be noticed. The same thing happens when approaching trees or decorations. Many times it seems that the robot is afraid to get a little closer, a fear that robot vacuum cleaners overcame a long time ago. MOVA ViAX 500 | Image: Xataka A fair and necessary autonomy. The robot has a battery with enough capacity to, in standard mode, cut 120 square meters in about an hour and a half. Enough for my garden. With efficient mode, the figure reaches 150 square meters. If the battery runs out, the robot returns to the base, charges itself (in about an hour) and picks up where it left off. Zero problems with this. Don’t forget the rest of the garden. Although the obstacle detection works really well, my recommendation is to spend a few minutes cleaning up the garden before starting the robot. If you have fruit trees and the fruit has fallen, pick it up or prepare for an exquisite wheel and blade cleaning session. I speak from experience. If you have left the hose loose, pick it up; And if you have pets, I, personally, would put them inside the house while the robot does its thing for a mental health issue. The Chuwi Unibook is the $450 Windows laptop that aims to take down the MacBook Neo. The problem is not the specifications

The Chinese manufacturer Chuwi has given the surprise with the presentation of its Chuwi Unibook, a mid-range laptop that surprises with its price of $449 and that has undoubtedly been created to compete with the new rival to beat: the MacBook Neo from Apple. The truth is that on paper the proposal seems really attractive, but the problem is precisely that: that this computer, like all those that will soon appear based on Windows with similar specifications, will have to comply with what is important. The user experience will be everything. The MacBook Neo still has no response. The PC industry was used to not having too many concerns in the mid-range. The manufacturers had accommodated themselves and proposed proposals without much ambition, modest but functional. Then came the MacBook Neo from Apple and revolutionized the sector: For the first time it was possible to access the Cupertino laptop ecosystem and its experience for a much more affordable price. There are sacrifices to the MacBook Neo, of course, but the device’s appeal is evident to many users. Apple has the A18 Pro, Intel has Wildcat Lake. The striking thing about the MacBook Neo is that Apple demonstrated that the iPhone chip was more than enough for a mid-range laptop. To compete with it, Intel has launched a new family of low-cost processors called Wildcat Lake. These chips, made with Intel 18A photolithography, are promising, and according to some benchmarks one of their variants It is 21% more powerful than the Apple A18 Pro of the MacBook Neo. The spec sheet rocks. If we look at the pure specifications of the Chuwi Unibook, the difference is notable. The equipment is not only cheaper, but it surpasses the Apple model in almost everything. For example, it has a theoretically more powerful processor, keyboard backlighting, better connectivity and more battery. The sacrifices required by the MacBook Neo are fewer sacrifices in this equipment. On paper, the Chuwi Unibook is really promising. On paper. Source: VideoCardz Project Firefly. Intel’s Chinese division recently announced this initiative. With it, they hope to help manufacturers reduce manufacturing complexity by offering reference designs that reduce production costs. Intel has already done things like this in the past (I’m sure many of you will remember both the Centrino branding and its Ultrabook program), and the idea here is precisely to provide certain tools to manufacturers to develop more competitive models in a market. shaken by the Apple model. Manufacturers wait their turn. The launch of Intel processors from the Wildcat Lake family has caused several manufacturers to begin announcing laptops based on these chips. Lenovo is already preparing some models IdeaPad Slimand so much Asus as HP They also prepare their plays. The Chuwi Unibook seems to be just another variant of those proposals, and in all of them the specifications, although modest, seem to surpass those of the MacBook Neo. Lots of advertising, little real product. Almost all major manufacturers have shown their intention to develop mid-range laptops that compete with the MacBook Neo in that price range. The announcements have been varied, but none of them have communicated the price or availability date of these devices, probably because everyone is waiting to see how the memory crisis evolves. It is reasonable to think that the imminent Computex fair is the perfect occasion to definitively present all these proposals. But. The problem with the Chuwi Unibook, like that of other manufacturers waiting their turn, is not the specifications. The problem will be the benefits and above all the real experience that these teams offer. Windows PC manufacturers have not done well with cutting features in the past, and if that experience is not good we could witness a new phenomenon like netbooks: affordable equipment, but too limited and that ended up condemned to oblivion. In Xataka | “We arrived too soon, but we were right”: The MacBook Neo is everything Microsoft dreamed of with the disastrous Windows 8

Denza Z9GT and Denza Z9, features, specifications, photos, price, date

BYD carries a few years of heart attack in Europe and in the rest of the regions in which it has a presence. However, this time the brand wanted to take a very different step: fully enter the premium vehicle segment. And he has done it precisely with Denza, your luxury brand which has been based in China for more than a decade and which this year crosses borders to give another pinch to the European automobile industry. The Chinese giant launches its premium division in this market with two models: the Denza Z9GTa high-performance family coupe, and the Denza D9a seven-seater minivan. Curiously, we were already able to test the Z9GT first-hand in 2025, giving us clues about what was happening. Now, the departure is imminent, and below these lines we tell you all the details. It was born in 2010 as an alliance between BYD and Daimler, and launched its first vehicle in 2014, although its presence had until now been limited to the Chinese market. Its arrival in Europe comes in a context in which Chinese brands are trying to consolidate beyond the mid-price segment, where they have already achieved some traction. The Z9GT: a grand tourer with three engines and ultra-fast charging The Z9GT is the model with which Denza wants to present itself to the European buyer of premium cars. It is a shooting brake (a body between a sedan and a family car) with more sporty lines. The vehicle is 5.18 meters long (5.19 meters in the plug-in hybrid) and was designed by Wolfgang Egger, known for his work at Audi and Alfa Romeo. The most interesting thing about the Z9GT is its technical proposal, especially when it comes to battery charging. The model incorporates the system FLASH Charging from BYD, capable of operating with a power of up to 1,500 kW, which would allow the battery to be charged from 10% to 70% in five minutes, or from 10% to 97% in nine. The brand further claims that even at temperatures of -30°C the process from 20% to 97% would be completed in twelve minutes. These figures, if confirmed in real conditions of use, would represent a significant jump compared to what we currently have. Of course, to take advantage of them, it will be necessary to access BYD’s own chargers, which also they have to deploy in Europe. So there is still quite a bit of work ahead in this regard. The battery is an evolution of the Blade Battery from BYD, now in its second generation, with chemistry lithium iron phosphate (LFP). According to the brand itself, engineers have managed to simultaneously increase both energy density and charging speed. You have it in pure electric and plug-in hybrid The Z9GT will be sold in two variants. The 100% electric version has three motors (one front and two rear) with a combined power of 1,156 HP and a 122.49 kWh battery. The autonomy approved according to the WLTP cycle exceeds 600 kilometers. 0 to 100 km/h is resolved in 2.7 seconds and the maximum speed reaches 270 km/h. These are, of course, figures that we are not used to seeing very often on the streets. Throughout 2026, Denza also plans to add a rear-wheel drive variant with a range of about 800 kilometers. The plug-in hybrid version (DM) combine those three electric motors with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The total power of the system is 776 HP. The battery, in this case 63.82 kWh, offers 203 kilometers of electric range according to WLTP. With the battery charged and the tank full, the manufacturer estimates a combined range of about 805 kilometers. 0 to 100 km/h is done in 3.6 seconds, according to the firm. Platform with rear steering and double independent motor Under the body, the Z9GT rides on the e³ (“e-cube”) platform, developed specifically for Denza. In it we find a rear steering system with two independent motorsone per wheel. This allows … Read more

review with features, price and specifications

This season Dyson has decided to expand its portfolio of floor cleaning products: in addition to a very light handheld vacuum cleaner (which we have tried) and a new robot vacuum cleanerhas also launched an electric mop that impresses: it is practically a stick. But this ode to minimalism It has a very competent technical sheet, so we have thoroughly tested the Dyson Pencilwash to verify it. Dyson Pencilwash technical sheet Dyson Pencilwash Dimensions and weight 1155 x 267 x 198mm; 2.2kg Deposit 0.34L autonomy 30 minutes (4-cell lithium ion battery) Charging time 3.5 hours cleaning area 100 m² per tank What comes in the box Charging base, wet brush, drip tray and handle price 349 euros Dyson PencilWash, electric mop, Ultra-thin and lightweight handle, motorized roller, hygienic cleaning, stain removal, quick drying, 30-minute autonomy The price could vary. We earn commission from these links I can’t believe so much technology fits in that stick. When I took it out of the box, the first thing I thought was that there were pieces missing. It can’t be that minimalist… and it is: the Dyson PencilWash is an electric mop and on the surface it’s little more than a stick. It comes with a plastic cap to cover the roller when not in use and a stand to keep the stick upright and carry it. If you want to scrub, remove the roller protector, take out the stick and put them together with the brand’s typical assembly that sounds like a clack when you put them together and has a red button to release them. The fit is perfect. My first impression was that it’s crazy that fits all the electronics in a cylinder less than four centimeters in diameter. It may not be as much as in a vacuum cleaner, but at least it has a battery and a motor. Unlike the mop, with a stick that more or less reaches your shoulders, mop and bucket, here we have a stick that reaches my hips (I’m 1.70 m tall), the roller area and little else. On the handle, the brand’s characteristic aluminum in a vibrant color and matte finish is transformed into a plastic cover to improve grip and immediately below, a couple of buttons to start it and choose if you want more or less water and a couple of LEDs that light up when the battery runs out, it is charging or there is a problem. All very intuitive, no need to read instructions. As always, the most interesting thing is in that roller: it is made of an absorbent microfiber (according to the firm, with 64,000 filaments) and has eight hydration points to always be moist. A surprisingly small tank is also integrated into that area for everything it does: provide mopping water and also clean the roller. Everyone knows the scrubbing process, but here it is much simpler, more comfortable and ergonomic: between the light weight being concentrated on the base and the roller practically sliding on its own because it is motorized, with the Dyson PencilWash the effort is limited to minimally holding and directing the handle. It can be done by (almost) anyone and here I’m also talking about accessibility: if for whatever reason you find it difficult to wring the mop or press, here you could scrub using just two fingers. This must be thanked to a format reduced to the minimum, good distribution of the elements and that it barely weighs. In terms of design and ergonomics, Dyson has given a master class. A week scrubbing with the Dyson PencilWash After the first full charge and filling the tank (as easy as lifting the tab and putting the base under the tap), I got ready for my first house cleaning. As I mentioned in the design section, there is no type of power control because the motorized roller goes alone and it is not an exaggeration: if you do not hold it, it pulls forward until it hits something. What you can choose is whether you want to scrub with a normal or high amount of water. With the normal level it is more than enough for standard cleanings. Something that I have noticed and appreciated about the classic mop is that the dosage is so good that moisten the entire soil with a thin uniform layerbut it doesn’t get puddled (something that happens with a mop if you don’t drain it well). So you wet everything but it dries moderately quickly. To properly clean the floor with water is not enough, so even if it is not included (it must be buy it separatelyit is a probiotic cleaner with low foam and it is not exactly cheap), Dyson allows you to add a little cleaning product to the tank. My apartment is 70 square meters and in less than 10 minutes I had cleaned the floor from top to bottom. I go faster than with the mop and I work half as much. By the way, Dyson talks about a half-hour autonomy that is enough to cover 100 square meters and the truth is, I think it has been conservative: I have been able to clean my house twice without the alarm going off, so the battery is not a problem. What you will have to do if you have a larger house is refill the tank: with its capacity I have barely managed to clean my entire house in normal mode with a certain intensity. The elbow between the base and the handle allows the roller head to be placed almost horizontally, which is great for cleaning under furniture, so that in practice at heights it practically competes with a mop. But since it is wider than the mocho, there are places where it doesn’t fit. An example: in the space between the toilet and the bathtub. Here it’s time to grab the mop from time to time. But it’s not only time to recover the mop to deal … Read more
