Marco Antonio Delgado, better known Mark Delgado, will begin a new adventure in the MLS, The curious thing is that it will be with the LAFCstaunch rival of Galaxyteam where he played.
The Californian midfielder will join the Black & Gold after 3 seasons with the Galaxy, where he scored 5 goals and sent 14 assists in 91 games, of which 83 were starts.
The club led by Steve Cherundolo made the news official this Wednesday through a statement released on social networks.
“LAFC has acquired midfielder Mark Delgado from the Los Angeles Galaxy in exchange for $200,000 in General Allocation Funds (GAM) for 2025 and $200,000 in General Allocation Funds (GAM) for 2026,” the club revealed in the publication.

We believe that Mark’s energy and technical skills complement our midfield group incredibly well, and It’s even more exciting to add a player who grew up playing in Southern California. to help us in our goal of competing for multiple trophies in 2025,” explained John Thorrington, co-president and general manager of the sports institution.
Mark Delgado was an important piece for the Galaxy’s operation and that he will arrive at LAFC to reinforce the team before the departure of Ilie Sánchez and the possible departure of Mateusz Bogusz, who is said to already have an agreement with Cruz Azul of Liga MX and it would leave a big hole in the Los Angeles team.
