The audio proves that Mizuhara supplanted the personality of the player, when answering the security questions.

Mizuhara was fired in March 2024 after an ESPN investigation discovered that he had sent millions in bank transfers from Ohtani’s account to an illegal betting house.

He declared himself guilty of bank fraud and presenting a false tax declaration in June, admitting that he stole almost $ 17 million from Ohtani to pay for game debts to an illegal betting house. It is expected to be sentenced on February 6.

According to the prosecutors’ presentation, Mizuhara called the bank and passed Ohtani on approximately 24 occasions to transfer money from the two -way player account. In the recording, which according to prosecutors was taken on February 2, 2022, a bank employee asked Mizuhara to identify.
