Let’s tell you what to do if someone hacks your WhatsApp. It doesn’t matter if you are a famous person or not, there are many cybercriminals who from time to time try to take control of other people’s accounts, either to do things in your name such as ask others for money, spread advertising, or try to steal other people’s accounts.
To avoid this, it is advisable to always have the WhatsApp two-step verificationso you need an additional PIN to confirm your account. And, above all, never forward to anyone the SMS codes that you may receive to confirm access to your account, not even if an acquaintance says that they have sent it to you by mistake, because it is a common method to steal it from you.
The underlying problem is that you can log in to WhatsApp from a mobile phone without a SIM, or from another phone other than the one you normally use. There are two different scenarios Depending on what the attacker has done, just log in to your account or block it with two-step verification, and depending on each one there will be different methods to recover it.
And if you have problems with WhatsApp, remember that we have explained how to recover your lost contacts, how to deactivate your account If you have lost your cell phone, everything you need to know about how WhatsApp can spy on you and how to know if they are doing it.
If the attacker is only logged in

WhatsApp does not allow you to be connected to more than one main device at a time, meaning that if an attacker enters your account from another mobile phone, your device will be logged out. This is what should set off the alarms, and you must act quickly so as not to give the other person time to maneuver.
What you have to do is open WhatsApp on your mobile and log back in using your number so they can send you a new code so you can recover your account. The problem is that if the attacker has recently connected, they may be temporarily blocked from sending other code, and you may have to wait a few seconds or minutes.
Ask them to call you to give you the code

When sending SMS with a code is temporarily blocked, you will have the option to ask them to call you. When you do this, they will call you from an answering machine where you will be told in your language the confirmation code numbers to recover your account. This method doesn’t always work the first time, so you may have to insist.
Ask WhatsApp to close all sessions
If the above does not work, you have the option of write an email to the address of support@whatsapp.com. In the subject and body of the message, you can write something like “Stolen/lost phone: Please deactivate my account,” along with your phone number in international format (with the +34 in front if it’s a Spanish number).
With this, the first thing you should know is that WhatsApp may take a long time to respond and manage your request, and when you do so, support may ask you for some type of identity verification before proceeding.
When WhatsApp processes the request, it will close all active sessions of your account, and the attacker will immediately lose access. From there, you can log back into WhatsApp and start the verification process with your number from your own mobile.
You can also contact WhatsApp support directly from the application itself. To do this, you must click on the three-dot button at the top right to see the help option. This will take you to a contact form where you can specify your problem.
If the attacker activates two-step verification

This is the worst case scenario, and the one that is most repeated when your account is stolen. The attacker gains control by logging in, and then sets up his or her own two-step verification PIN, so You will no longer be able to recover your account requesting a PIN to be sent to your number, even if you have the SIM.
In this case, if when you log in you click on *Forgot your PIN?, a seven-day waiting period will begin. When they pass, you can request an SMS code again and recover your account. But during those seven days you can’t do anything, so the only thing you have left is to write the email to support@whatsapp.com explained in the previous section, or use the help channel within the app
