Google is redesigning its search engine to make it more ambitious than a simple consultation tool. Instead of just showing results, you now want to solve complete tasks From beginning to end. Search, compare, decide, fill out forms and even pay. Everything without having to do nothing but formulate a couple of requests. Change comes from the hand of Ai modea function that, According to Google itselfrepresents “the most powerful search experience” to date.
Until now, Google Search worked as a classic interface: you introduced a consultation and the search engine offered you relevant links (and Ai overViews in certain cases). With AI Mode, the process becomes much more proactive. For example, if you write something like “find two affordable tickets for this Saturday in the REDS match in the low stand”, the system launches a technique known as Query fan-outlaunches multiple simultaneous subconsultations and analyzes the results in real time. The goal? Present a list of options adjusted exactly what you have asked.
Google’s search engine is changing (and much)
According to the US company, this new approach responds to the demand for advanced users who want a much more complete and personalized experience. AI Mode can also modify the search criteria on the march, for example, change the maximum price or ask for more focused seats.
Once the desired product or service is chosen, AI Mode can also be in charge of the final procedures: fill in forms, complete the necessary data and make the payment through Google Pay. In the United States, this capacity will begin with entries for events, reservations in local restaurants and appointments, and is being deployed in collaboration with platforms such as Ticketmaster, Stubhub, Resy or Vagaro.


It should be noted that, although the deployment has begun, full access is now available for users of the North American country, and a good part of the functions remains in an experimental phase through Google Labs. Outside of Labs, Google indicates that these tools will initially be offered to a “limited percentage” of users.


Beyond purchases, AI Mode incorporates advanced tools such as Deep Search, which allows more exhaustive research to generate hundreds of consultations, crossing disparate information and preparing reports cited expert level in minutes. Integra Search Live, a function that allows real -time interacting with the search engine using the mobile camera to solve visual doubts instantly, and the ability to create custom interactive graphics has been expanded from complex data sets, initially in areas such as sport or finance.
In parallel, Google continues to expand Ai overViewsthe system of summaries generated by AI that first appeared at the I/O Conference of 2024. It is currently available in more than 200 countries and in more than 40 languages, with support for new languages such as Arabic, Chinese or Malay.
The future of Search, at least according to Google’s vision, is less and less linked to the classic concept of “type and search” and closer to an assistant who understands what you want, acts for you and gives you ready results to make decisions. Everything, without losing sight of the fact that the control, as they promise, will always be in the user’s hands.
