An alternative to Bluetooth to improve audio quality
Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro (Wi-Fi) use technology Qualcomm Xpan to offer lossless audio of 96 kHz/24 bits with a bandwidth up to 4.2 Mbps through Wi-Fi. We are talking about characteristics superior to what Bluetooth can offer today.
To take advantage of this function we need a compatible mobile, such as the new Xiaomi 15 series, and high quality audio files or streaming services such as Amazon Music HD. From there, the process is automatic: the phone will be in charge of sharing the credentials of the Wi -Fi network with the headphones without complications.

Thanks to Qualcomm Xpan, the transition between Bluetooth and Wifi aims to be completely fluid. The system will dynamically adjust the codec speed to maintain a stable connection and offer the best possible sound quality, both calls and music streaming or voice commands for AI attendees.

The good news is that this type of connection will allow us to enjoy music with the best quality at home, provided we have a good wifi coverage. The bad news is that this experience will not be available when we go out, either when playing sports, traveling in the subway or simply moving around the city, where we will depend solely on the Bluetooth connection.
As for the rest of the specifications, these headphones offer up to 10 hours of autonomy, expandable at 40 hours with the load case. The sound is in charge of a triple controller system, with a 11 mm main drivera pzt tweeter and a planar controller. In addition, they have active noise cancellation and several functions of integrated, such as calling, transcription and translation.
