Irobot, the company behind Robot robots Roombajust announced a good handful of devices that also premiere (and simplify) the nomenclature of their catalog. And it is that the firm has launched not one, not two, not three but four robots vacuuming to each most powerful. Robots with which Irobot updates in terms of power, options and functions and in which we find things as curious as a waste compactor. Yes, as it sounds.

Understanding the catalog. Roomba vacuum robots have had the most diverse names and with the new Irobot nomenclature aims to facilitate things. From now on, they will be called three ways: Roomba, Broken Plus and Roomba Max (followed by their numerical surnames). They refer to the most basic range, the mid -range and the premium range, respectively.

All the models announced today are two in one robots (this is: they aspire and friendly), they have more suction power than their predecessors, improved navigation, carpet detection and faster mapping thanks to the Lidar. Some models, as we will see later, also have precisionView, or what is the same, front camera. However, each one has its peculiarities.

Roba 105 Combo. This is the most basic model and stands out for offering 7,000 PA of suction power, that is, up to 70 times more than the series Roba 600. It also has a mop and has the smartly smart fherred that until now we only found in the high range of the company. It can be purchased alone or with the highway and load base, a base that has the capacity to store up to 75 days of waste.

Roba 205 Dust Compactor Combo. This is undoubtedly the most curious model. The company has thought that having a highway base is very good, provided you have space to place it. That is not always possible, so in the 205 Dust Compactor Roba Irobot has decided to integrate the highway base in the device itself. The result has been an aspirator robot with waste compactor that also shares power and functions with the previous one.

The idea is as simple as curious. Inside the robot there is a mechanical sweep arm that compacts the dirt as it enters and moves it forward and backward. In this way, dirt is stored more efficiently, to the point that the deposit takes up to 60 days to fill. That eliminates the need for a highway base.

Plus 405 Combo Roomb. We go to the mid -range with a robot that leaves aside the conventional mop to implement a double -rotating double mop system. This system, increasingly popular, improves scrubbing and protects carpets, since the mops rise ten millimeters to avoid wetting what they should not. Another function that offers and that their Non-Plus brothers are the function back to work after recharge.

As for the base, that of this model has a waste storage system (up to 75 days), space for an extra bag, a three -liter clean water tank and another of dirty water of 2.3, as well as self -limited functions. That includes washing and drying of the air by air.

Plus 505 Combo Roomb. And we end with the most powerful model of the four presented today, a device that takes everything of the previous one and improves it. This device incorporates a more powerful Lidar system and a camera with artificial intelligence, so that it detects and avoids objects, furniture and walls. It also has two circular mounts, with the difference that the right mop has an extensible arm that brings it closer to the edges of the walls and corners.

With regard to the base, it is very similar to that of the previous model, but it has an interesting novelty: the mops are dried with heat. This system is faster and more effective, according to Irobot. This last model, by the way, is the only one compatible with the Matter protocol.

Availability. All vacuum robots can be purchased from March 18 in presale. And to the question of “what happens to the Max Roomba”, the company explained that, for the moment, the company’s flagship will continue to be the IROBOT ROOM COMBO 10 MAX With Autowash.
