Let’s tell you How AirPods real-time translation works from Apple, a function that has arrived with the update iOS 26.2 to all models starting with AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2. To use it, in addition to compatible headphones, you will also need to have an iPhone.
This option will allow you to listen to the Spanish translation of what they say to you on headphones and even see it in a text. Of course, to use it you will need to have an Apple app installed and start the translation manually.
How to activate real-time translation


To use real-time translation for your AirPods, you need to have the app Translate from Apple. It comes pre-installed on your mobile, but if for some reason you decided to delete it you can download it from the App Store. You also need to have the iPhone where you have the AirPods linked updated to iOS 26.2and your headphones must be AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2 or Pro 3.


Once inside the application Translateyou have to enter the tab in real time that will appear in the row below.


This will take you to a screen where you can configure this translation. First you have to configure the languagesputting in Your language the one that the other person is going to use and in Your language to which you want it translated, like Spanish. Then, press the button Start translation to start translating in real time.


When the translation starts, you will go to a screen where the translation of everything your headphones hear will appear in the other language that you have configured. Besides, you will hear a voice translate everything on the AirPodsso that you have the translation heard and also the textual one.
