After a controversy that lasted several days, Martin Anselmi was finally announced as the new coach of the Porto. It was through social media that the club reported on the hiring of the Argentine coach.
In his presentation speech this Monday from the Do Dragao Stadium, Anselmi He broke his silence on the entire controversy and directly attacked his former team. The 39-year-old coach accused Blue Cross of having lied and defamed in the media.

Anselmi He also assured that the negotiation with Porto was always known first hand by Blue Cross. According to the Argentine, once the agreement with the Portuguese was closed, they decided to back down and deny him departure.

I made a decision which I considered the best for me and my professional growth. I assume it and take charge, I was the one who took it, but I did it head-on with total transparency towards the club and its leaders without any hesitation,” he began.
“They made me a promise that they would let me out. They negotiated, reached an agreement and accepted a proposal from the Porto Football Club. However, when everything was ready to be formalized, they changed the rules of the game, defamed me and dirty me through the media,” he explained.
