What cars can circulate and which ones rest on May 24

As every Saturday, the Sabatino does not circulate today. That day where each day’s own restrictions are complicated because they are not always the same for the same people. Small changes that can make us doubt and fall into some economic sanction.

But what are we talking about? Indeed, today’s restrictions that have not been devised by the CDMX Ministry of Environment (Sedema) to try to reduce the pollutants of the air we breathe.

The only solution for that is evident: to be very clear what the restrictions are. You know, how they affect, when they apply, what is the fine … restrictions that, obviously, only apply in the 16 mayors in Mexico City and in the following conurbed municipalities of the State of Mexico:

What cars and plaques affect the Sabatino today

So what are the restrictions we find? Well, not all affected cars can circulate. That is why it is especially important to take into account what is specifically in today.

The general restrictions, as you can see above, are simple and apply with some ease taking into account the hologram and plate number. Those of Hologogram 1 and 2, as you can see, always have to rest someday.

But what happens on Saturdays? That is not so simple. In fact, the following scenarios can be given:

And this day the following conditions occur:

• Cars that can circulate every Saturday
• Cars that have to rest every Saturday
• Cars that rest on a Saturday yes and another

Restrictions, yes, do not apply all day. They are active between 05:00 and 10:00 p.m.. That is, at night we can move freely and without taking into account any type of restriction.

So, how do we know who they have to face the Sabatino does not circulate today? Well, having very clear what our hologram, first, and the plate number later.

To start, if your hologram is 2, you will not be able to circulate any Saturday of the month. There is not much to think, on Saturdays the car has to stay yes or yes at home. On the contrary, those of Hologram 0 and 00 have any problem: every Saturday they can leave without any restrictions.

It is those of Hologram 1 the ones that have to think most. These cars, every week rotate in restrictions and, therefore, one week stay at home and the next can move with total peace of mind.

This week of the Saturday, May 24, 2025 We are on the fourth Saturday of the month of May. The cars with hologram 1 and plate finished in torque, therefore, are the ones that rest. Next week the cars with Hologram 1 and plaque finished in odd number will have to leave the car at home because we will be before the fifth Saturday of May.

However, there are some exceptions that must be taken into account because those cars can move with total freedom:

• Those that work for electricity, natural gas or are hybrid
• Those who have disabled plate
• All those dedicated to urban transport services (includes funerals)
• Those who offer school or passenger transport
• Those destined for public safety and/or civil protection

In case of breaching these restrictions, the fine will be 20 to 30 times the unit of measurement and update (Uma), which is equivalent to 1,924.40 pesos and even 2,886.60 pesos.
